You are free to travel across Canada and the United States. However, it is strictly forbidden to cross the Mexican border. Certain conditions apply. Click here to know more.

Dogs are welcome. However, an additional fee of $ 150 will be charged for the duration of the rental (We love dogs, but they’re messy!). The maximum is two dogs per vehicle. For any damages, the cost of repairs or replacement will be deducted from the security deposit. Never let your pet alone in your vehicle with all your windows closed. Pets are not immune to heatstroke’s. In a vehicle with all the windows rolled up and all the doors closed, the temperature can rise quickly and prove fatal.

You must have two valid government-issued ID cards with photo. This includes your driver’s license which must be valid for the total duration of the rental. Make sure you have your passport valid if you want to go to the United States.

We only accept credit card payments for the initial booking that has to be made via our website. If you wish to rent items or buy merchandise once in our office, it will be possible to pay cash, debit or credit via our terminal. The security bond must be held on a valid credit card in the name of one of the tenants registered in the file. For legal reasons, we will be strict about this. (We accept all credit card with the exception of American Express.)

A valid class 5 driver’s license for the duration of the rental is sufficient. The validity of each permit must be approved by the SAAQ before your departure. We will take care of that for you.

The rental includes 200 km per rental day. For example, 1 400 km will be included for a 7 days rental.

Absolutely! Click here to see the packages offered. If you wish, you can pay your excess kilometers upon your return at a cost of $ 0.30 / km.

Everything will depend on the availability of the vehicle. Please notify us as soon as possible if you wish to use the vehicle for a longer period so we can accommodate you.

At the time of rental, you will have the opportunity to tell us the time period to which you intend to recover and return your vehicle. We operate 7 days per week.

Our hours of operation are:

Yes! Other kitchen equipment is also available as an option such as a BBQ.

We recommend camping in designated campsites, whether it being National/State parks or private campgrounds. More information can be found within our crew of travelers who will be enchanted to give you some tips. Feel free to be creative!

Yes, in the event that you are required to cancel a reservation with us, you must send an email to info@vanlifemt.com. You will receive a confirmation of cancellation.

 Cancellation is subject to these conditions:

  • 150$ administration fee: Cancellation made 30 days or more before the departure date.
  • 50% of the total amount of the reservation: Cancellation made less than 30 days before the date of departure.
  • No refund: Cancellation made 7 days or less before departure date.

In case of an accident, we ask you to think about your safety first.

  • All vehicles will have an accident report form in the glove compartment.
  • In the event of a serious accident, call 911 for immediate assistance.
  • If you need immediate roadside assistance, please call 1 800 363-4869.
  • Then, contact us at 514 903-1995 as soon as possible and depending on the situation, we will assist you for the next steps.

Our vehicle comes with roadside assistance in the event of mechanical issues. Please contact us immediately to inform us of the situation. Our goal is to get you back on the road as soon as possible. However, if your vehicle is unusable overnight due to being held at a repair shop, you will be refunded for that night’s rental. If possible, we will provide you with a replacement vehicle if one is available. In the unlikely event that the vehicle cannot be fixed or replaced, we will refund the remaining days of the rental agreement and assist you in reaching the nearest destination or to come back to Montreal. Unfortunately, it will not necessarily be possible for us to extend your trip due to future rentals schedule.

You must pay the fees at each toll station. If this is not the case, we will charge the amount to your credit card along with a $ 25 administration fee.

No. VanLife MTL and JeepLife MTL is not responsible for your personal stuff. To protect your belongings, you can opt for travel insurance before you leave or check with your credit card company. Most of them offer this type of insurance at affordable prices.

It is up to you to verify if your credit card protects the vehicle and if so, you are free to use your card as insurance on our vehicle. The company issuing the credit card will inform you of the conditions and restrictions of insurance on rental vehicles.

Absolutely! We have many fun and useful articles to enhance your stay. To see the list of items and rental prices, click here. Quantities are limited, so don’t forget to include items you want in your reservation. If you change your mind and want to cancel extra equipment, you have to let us now at least 7 days prior to your departure date, otherwise the amount for the rental of the items will be charged in full.

In case you forget anything during the initial booking, we invite you to contact us as soon as possible. Depending on availability, we will add it to your order.

It’s possible to rent external supports for bicycles. As for your surfs, you can keep them safer inside the van.

Our vehicle’s average gas mileage is 14 litres per 100km

Water containers are on sale in grocery stores and at some convenience stores and gas stations. You can also fill the containers with running water or ask around for free water source points on your way.

The rental includes for each bed an outline sheet, a flat sheet, pillows and pillowcases. It is possible to rent sleeping bags and warm bedding for the chilly camper.

If you prefer you can bring your own car seat. However, we offer child car seats to rent for $35 per renting. Our seats are designed for children weighing from 5lbs to 65lbs.

All our vehicles are equipped with an air conditioner and a regular heating system when the vehicle is running. Additionally, each van has fans installed in the rooftop for increased airflow during hot days, and an independent 4 season heating system for more chilly nights.

The outdoor shower is equipped with an on demand electric water heater. Our vans have a 140 litres tank that you can fill up at any time with a standard hose. (Unavailable for JeepLife MTL)

Our vehicles are equipped with 120V and USB sockets. Be sure to bring your adapters if needed.

As much as possible, all our vehicles will be rented containing a full tank of gas. However, if this is not the case, you will have to bring it back with the same level of fuel as at the start. This will clearly be noted on the record before departure.

Vehicles must be returned in the same condition as when they were rented. Rental equipment, as well as portable toilets, paddles and dishes, must be cleaned by customers. The dirty water tank must be emptied, as well as the fridge and the bins which must also be cleaned. If the van is not returned in a reasonable condition, a cleaning fee of $250 will be charged to your credit card.

All vehicles have an automatic transmission, they are easy to maneuver.

According to our models, you can be from 1 to 5 travellers per vehicle. When the vehicle is moving, all passengers must wear their seatbelt.

We reserve ourselves the right to upgrade or assign to your reservation a similar category of vehicle. No refund will be made in that event.

All rentals begin and end at our office located at 2716 Lapierre Street in LaSalle.

Yes, the minimum rental period is 4 days for a van and 3 days for a Jeep®. Exceptions can sometimes be made, please contact us for more information.

Yes, we offer this possibility. However, VanLife MTL and JeepLife MTL cannot be held responsible if anything happens to your vehicle parked at our office. We invite you to find an alternative to avoid leaving your vehicle on our grounds.
